Kia ora,
When we started Fetch back in 2021, it came from a pretty personal frustration.
I didn't want to be on social media. At all. But I found myself having to be, because that's where the cards were. If you wanted to buy or sell anything specific, you had to join the groups. Endless scrolling, DMing strangers, asking "is this still available?" over and over.
And on top of that, pricing here was basically just whatever the US market was doing. There was no local benchmark, no dedicated place for Kiwi collectors, and no way to easily have your own store. We were just making do.
So we built Fetch...and the logo? That's Nala — our first dog, and the inspiration behind it. Everyone thinks it's a wolf. It's not. It's her. 🙂

We wanted every collector here to have a proper, efficient way to buy and sell on a marketplace built specifically for TCG, by people who actually collect. Not a US platform where NZD is an afterthought, and not Facebook.
For the past few years, my wife and I have been funding this out of our own pockets. Every feature, server bill, and giveaway. We've been running at a loss because we believed in what we were building and wanted it to be here for you. But for Fetch to keep going, it now needs to stand on its own.
From April 27th, we'll be introducing:
- Card payments — buyers can now pay securely by card, directly through Fetch
- The Fetch Wallet — all card payments flow through your wallet, with withdrawals to your bank anytime
- Platform fees & seller tiers — a small per-sale fee (3–4% depending on your tier) that keeps the platform running
Before we get into the detail — we want to say thank you. Because you've been here before any of this existed, we're giving every legacy seller 90 days on our Pro tier, free — that means a reduced platform fee on every sale for three months. Consider it our way of saying we appreciate you sticking around.
We've put together a proper reference page that covers everything, with worked examples and a full FAQ:

What are we building next on our roadmap?
On top of the platform changes, here's what else we're working on:
New games rolling out over the next few months — more ways to buy, sell and collect on Fetch.

Pokemon JP
Japanese Pokemon singles — finishing up and launching this month.

DBZ CCG
The classic Dragon Ball Z Collectible Card Game, coming to Fetch.

One Piece Japanese
Japanese One Piece singles — expanding beyond the English sets.
Roadmap features already in the works — shaped by what our community keeps asking for.
Sealed & Accessories
Sell booster boxes, ETBs, deck protectors, binders and more — alongside your singles.
Holiday Mode
Heading away? Pause your store without losing listings so you can vend stress-free.
Bulk Pricing Rules
Set pricing rules per game — conditions, margins and matching all applied automatically.
QR Code Generator
Generate printable QR codes for your listings — perfect for event tables and display cases.
Bounties
Post the prices you'll pay for specific cards and let collectors sell their spares straight to you.
Import from Other Apps
Bring in your existing collections from Collectr, Manabox and other apps in a couple of clicks.
Counter Offers
Buyers can make an offer on any listing — sellers accept, decline, or counter back. Real negotiation, built in.
Buylists
Stores can publish the cards they're buying and the prices they'll pay — sellers browse and sell direct.
Fetch It
Paste a decklist or use your needed cards list — Fetch It automatically matches you to the right sellers at the best prices.
We'll keep you posted on Discord as each one goes live.
These changes are about making sure Fetch is here for the long haul. Every dollar that comes in goes straight back into the platform — faster search, more games, better tools for sellers, and proper buyer protection. That's always been the goal, and these fees are what make it possible to keep delivering on it.
Fetch was built here in NZ, by collectors, for collectors. This community is the reason it exists, and with your continued support I'm confident we can keep making it the best place to buy and sell cards in NZ and Australia.
If you've got questions after reading the details, just flick us an email at hello@fetchtcg.com and we'll get back to you within 3 business days.
Really appreciate you being part of this, it means a lot. We've got a lot of good stuff ahead.
Thanks,
Kirushi, Nilu, the entire Fetch TCG team (& Nala) 🐾
